This is gonna be a hell of a rojak post...Haha!!
Let's see. This week we had Townhall Meeting. I kept saying that it was boring, but actually, I had some questions answer for this. Haha! But it's really long. We had to be seated by 1630 and we were only let out at 1930. Due to the recession, there was some major changes in DHL. BUT! We are not cutting people. Alhamdulillah. The whole idea is, 'To cut cost and save jobs' NOT, 'To cut jobs to save cost'. Another good news is that, since we performed well enough in 2008, we will al be getting something in April. Wee!!! Thank god they're not taking that away! Overall, I think everyone had all their doubts answered. Then it was dinner time. We SBUX Team, quickly made our way to the reception area and took like lotsa food. The chix wing was damn nice! Me, Suken, Indah, Jessie and Pei Wen can't stop eating it. We went for 2nd and third rounds of chix wings! Haha! Indah was so funny, she took one of this dessert and almost pop the plastic that was holding the dessert together into her mouth. But I managed to stop her. Haha! Well, actually, we saw one guy who did that. Stupid caterer. Why transparent? Haha..Then it was end of the day already.
The next day, Wednesday, there was a Singtel Promotion held at our office. We can have corporate lines if we are DHL staff. Subscription was slashed off to almost half. Plus, the phone that I fell in love with was going on at zero with 2 years plan. With the public, it will cost me $198, after trade in of $200 ok! Plus, the plan will be $25/- plus plus plus. DHL staff, enjoy paying only like $15/- plus plus plus....It's so worth it, it's a crime not to get it! ?Haha. So....presenting my latest baby, Nokia E71. Hehe!!! I got a threaten via email from Myn when I told her I got this phone! Oh yeah, and I bought Mira Sony Erisson, G900, Red. Now I have 2 phones and 2 lines. Hmm...What am I gonna do??!
On Thursday, I was at work, but was unable to get any work done. Something was wrong with the server and the Internet was done for the whole day. I cannot even do anything. Why? 1, because the Internet was done and I cannot access and system. 2, I have done all my filing the day before. Argh!!! Thank god for the new phone. Hehe..For the first time, i was playing games at work! Haha!!But, being unable to work left most of us feeling lethargic. What with no Internet and all. We couldn't even surf! And so, I left work at 1800 feeling more tired than ever.
Today, my Internet still wasn't up. The rest got theirs working yesterday evening. But I had no luck! Fortunately for me, Suken has a thumb drive and Aric was away. So I transfer whatever PO that I need to arrange and work using Aric's PC. At last, around 11 plus, Joseph, the IT guy, managed to bring my PC to live again. I was almost at the verge of plugging my CPU and bringing it to Aric's table. Can you imagine?! Me carrying a big black box to two ailse away from me just to connect it to the LAN line?! Haha! But alhamdulillah. Everything was well, and I manage to clear all emails before 1800 today. Lunch was with Myn and Nani, after not meeting them for a long long time! We had about 45 minutes of chatting and off they went! I really wish I can spend more time with them!! :(
Anyway, my aunt msg me to see if I can take leave end of this month! I hope we are going to Indonesia!!!*cross fingers**Oh by the way, Mak Nah and Mak Cha got me a Mariah Carey Luscious Pink perfume. It smell Heavenly. And they bought Malin Dune, Christine Dior! Also nice. Hehe!!!Thanks you guys!!
