First day of Hari Raya was not as happening as previous ones. You see, my grandma passed away early this year. And we usually we gather at her home. However, this year, it was held at Mak Long's house. Since her husband passed 2 weeks after Nenek, she's stil in mourning. So this year, my family only went to her house today. The rest will be 2moro or weekend. Not too sure if I will be well enough to go here and there 2moro.
We reached there around 1 plus. Initial plan was to reached there around 11. But we were all so tired of cleaning house and cooking. And I had trouble sleeping as I was coughing into the night. So, accompanied with a headache and cough, we headed to Mak Longs after asking forgiveness from each other. Take cab of course, even though it is very near. Hehe! I can't walk la, scare will pengsan! Hehe.
So we reached there. More forgiveness and all. Then came the food and drinks. After that, what else, bum around and watch tv. Met Fahmy for a while cos his mom gave us some Muruku. Then my favourite little mischievous cousin came. She's just plain cute. With her mak nenek attitude and all. Such a joy! Then I remembered that we had the camera. Hehe! And so what else? Take pictures la! Hehe. Don't mind my sick pictures.
So by 3 plus, it's home sweet home! Straight away helped Mom to cook Tomato Rice and all for my guests. I was very excited as this year is my first open house. Intended to do it on a weekend, but since today is Kaori's birthday and her parents are in town, I decided to do it today. Alhamdullilah, my Mom was very supportive. Mak Nah, Mak Cha and Pak Hussein was here too. They were so cool, becoming the host and hostesses. So after dinner, we threw a small birthday Kaori. She seemed surprise. Hehe! Then it was eating again. I kept forcing all of them to eat and eat and eat! Haha!!
Then Kaori's parents took out a bag of gift for us, including my Mom. They bought Mom a Japanese cookbook. And the rest of us Burberry handkerchief! And they bought me a Micheal Jackson, Japan Edition CD. I wanted it because it has the song that I want most. Downloading is just a hassle for me. I intended to pay them back, but the parents said it's a gift! So i got 2 gifts from Japan! Hehe!
The day ended quite early for me. By 9 plus, it's just me, Mom, Mira and Malin. So I got online to chat, as usual. By then, headache was back and I was coughing like mad. So I took some panadol and couldn't sleep until 2 in the morn. Malin went out with Fahmy to visit JD at hospital and I think they went for supper. So she wasn't home when I fell asleep.
