As you all know, on Monday, my mom was admitted to SGH for her Angiogram. All of us went to the hospital. Mak Cha accompanied us too. By 11 plus we were there, waiting for mom to be warded. The fear was not there yet. So as normal, jokes and laughter surrounded us.
We waited and waited. It was almost 3 in the afternoon, when my mom was wheeled to the operation room for the Angiogram. At that time, I do not want my mom out of my sight, fearing that I might never see her again. Even though it is a simple procedure, I was scare of the power of Allah. He might change anything and everything. I was praying that everything goes smoothly. The procedure took 4 hours and we saw a glimpse of mom around 7. Alhamdulliah, she did not have to go through ballooning.
The next day, I went to work but took last minute half day leave as Mom can be discharged that afternoon. I rushed like a mad woman to SGH and by the time I reached there, Mom was already discharged. So we went to have lunch at Delifrance. After that, we made payments for the admissions and insurance claim. While looking for the National Heart Centre (which, by the way, took us about an hour plus to find it), I bumped into Peter. Of all people, my boss!! Haha!! Wasted my $14.00 for cab ride. should have taken a ride with Peter..But it's OK, I missed my mom, so I wanna get there fast.
Today, I went to work as normal and managed to clear my emails and do a lot of follow-up. I hope everything will be fine as I will be on leave till Friday!! So it will be Mom and me @ home. I will try my best to attend to my mom's every need. Ok la, she's not that weak, but I do not want her to do anything @ all. So today, I OTed a bit and got a call from mom to meet near our block as she wanna treat us dinner!! Trust my mom to repay our good deed in a matter of short time. Hehe!! So we went to Mas Ayu. I wanted to pay but my mom wanted too. I think it's a niat or something...It's ok Mom, next time, my treat ok!!
I would like to thank God for keeping us on the safe side on this earth.
I would like to thank Mak Cha, for being there the whole day while Mom was in the procedure. Mak Nah, for visiting even though she was from work and fasting!! For the rest of my aunts and uncles for AT LEAST calling to ask how my mom was.
My sisters, for being a strong team for the sake of our family. Remember, family is everything.
To my SBUX Team, who took the time to sms, msn and called to ask if everything was OK! Love you all. And also for covering my work when I'm out of the office.
