My name is Rita and I'm 23. Cuurrently working at one of the top compan worldwide, DHL Global.
Well, where do I start? Hmm...I graduated secondary school in 2001. Went to TP for a while doing Info Management Course. Not my cup of tea, so I went astray. Dropped out and started to look for a job.
Now, 5 years later, after much job hopping, here I am working at DHL. Won't tell you which location..hehe..I am taking care of SBUX account. Meaning any orders that they have, I will be in charge of coordinating them. Currently I am taking care of THA, MLY, IDO and SIN inbound. SBUX have a warehouse located my workplace. Will be having my first trip to MLY in Apr. Just to know our clients better. Below is the list of people that I am working with.
Mr M - Manager
Mr AM - Assistant Manager
Mr S - Supervisor
Ms MLY - Me taking care of Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia
Ms OSA - Taking care of Osaka, Tokyo and Australia
Ms HKG - Taking care of Hong Kong, Philippines, and New Zealand
Ms Taiwan - Taking care of Taiwan and Singapore
Ms Lcl - Taking care of Local
The people that I have been working with and for are great. They are very supportive and will always be ready to assist you. But who said life is peaceful always?
Today, I went to work, as per normal, my colleague, Ms Lcl, was on MC, so we had to cover for her. Since she is doing local, there's lots of work to do. DO, Store order, transfers to be created. Sigh! And the worse is that on Friday, she did not send out today's order (complicated? I know!). So Mr S was very upset as Mr AM question us how can we miss out on a daily operational process. So in the morning, empty stomach an cold, we set to do all that we can. Ms TWN, who is the back up of Ms Lcl, was upset to as she had to divide her attention to a lot of Ms Local's unfinished business.
As I was happily doing my work and chatting with Mr S on the MSN, he decided to give me a big blow. They wanted to give me Local and take away my countries. I was devastated to hear this. The reason why I wanted to work in a logistic firm is that so I can learn about shipping line. But according to Mr S, I am meticulous and I am the right candidate for Lcl. But I just don't agree!!! Plus, it will take away my chances of going overseas to meet my clients. Sigh! I hope this will not happen as I do not want to take care of Local!!
I hope that they will change their mind.
